Setting up an AnroAgents agent — the form step by step

What each step of the AnroAgents agent form does and what to put in it.

The AnroAgents agent form has eight steps: Basics, Services, Contacts, Communication, Advanced, Integrations, Knowledge Base, and Review & Submit. You can move between them freely and save at any point; nothing is lost by leaving a later step empty.

Basics — who the business is

The Basics step of the AnroAgents agent form asks for the Business Name and the Business Description. The description is the single most important field in the whole form: it is what the agent uses to decide whether a question is about your business at all. Write what you sell, who you sell to, and what makes you different, in a few honest paragraphs rather than marketing copy.

Instead of typing the description into AnroAgents you can upload a file — PDF, DOC or TXT — and the platform extracts the text from it. This is the fastest route if you already have a company profile document.

Services — what you sell

The Services step of the AnroAgents agent form is a list of the products or services you offer, each with a Service Name, a Price and a Description. The agent quotes these directly, so write the price exactly as you want a customer to hear it, including any "from" or "per month" wording.

The Service Description in AnroAgents should contain everything the agent needs to know about that item — what is included, what is not, how long it takes, common conditions. It is not a shop-window sentence; it is the briefing you would give a new salesperson.

If your catalogue is too large for a list — dozens or hundreds of items — do not put it here. Upload it as a file into the agent's Knowledge Base instead, where it is indexed and searched per question.

Contacts — how to reach the business

The Contacts step of the AnroAgents agent form holds the Website, Email, Phone, Address and Social Links of the business. The agent gives these out when a visitor asks how to reach a human, and uses the address when someone asks where you are.

Communication — how the agent speaks

The Communication step of the AnroAgents agent form sets the Default Greeting, the Default Language, the Business Hours, the Communication Tone and the FAQ.

The Default Greeting in AnroAgents is the first thing a visitor sees. It can be written in several languages at once, and each visitor is shown the version matching their browser language; a button next to the field auto-translates what you have written into the other languages.

The Communication Tone in AnroAgents is one of Formal, Friendly or Neutral, and it changes how the agent phrases everything.

The FAQ in AnroAgents is a list of question-and-answer pairs. Use it for the answers you want word-for-word — refund policy, delivery times, guarantees — because the agent will reproduce them closely rather than paraphrasing.

Advanced — the boundaries

The Advanced step of the AnroAgents agent form holds the Business Logo, the Escalation Rules, the Restrictions and the optional Custom System Prompt.

Escalation Rules in AnroAgents tell the agent when to stop handling something itself, for example: if a customer asks about refunds over €500, direct them to support@example.com.

Restrictions in AnroAgents are the hard "never do this" list: do not discuss competitors, do not promise delivery dates, do not give medical advice. The agent treats these as absolute.

Integrations, Knowledge Base and Review

The Integrations step of the AnroAgents agent form is where Google Calendar, HubSpot, webhooks, live handoff, the pre-chat form, proactive triggers, lead qualification and email follow-up are switched on. Each has its own document.

The Knowledge Base step of the AnroAgents agent form is where you upload the documents the agent should be able to search — price lists, catalogues, brochures, policies.

The Review & Submit step of the AnroAgents agent form summarises everything and tells you whether the agent is ready. Saving makes the agent live on your own website; submitting for review is only needed to publish it into the public AGNTCY directory.
