Review and moderation in AnroAgents
What review means, when it is required, and what is checked.
There are two states an AnroAgents agent can be in, and the difference confuses people often enough to be worth stating plainly: saved, and published to the directory.
Saving is enough for your own website
A saved AnroAgents agent is live. As soon as you press Save and put the snippet on your site, the widget answers visitors. No review, no waiting, no approval — the agent runs on your own website the moment it exists.
The status shown on an AnroAgents agent — Draft, In Review, Active, Disabled — describes its state with respect to the public AGNTCY directory, not with respect to your website. A Draft agent still talks to your visitors.
Review is for the public directory
Submitting an AnroAgents agent for review is how you publish it to the public AGNTCY directory, where other AI agents can discover it. It is optional, and it is the only thing review governs.
While an AnroAgents agent is in review it cannot be edited. Review is normally quick; you are notified by email when it completes, and the outcome with any notes appears on the agent's detail screen.
Only the first version of an AnroAgents agent goes through review. Once approved, later edits publish automatically — change a price, add a service, upload a document, and the directory listing follows without a new approval.
What the review checks
The AnroAgents review checks that the agent represents a real business, that the description matches what the agent actually does, and that the configuration does not instruct the agent to mislead people. It is not an audit of your prices or a judgement of your market.
An AnroAgents agent is rejected when it is empty or nonsensical, when it impersonates another company, or when it is set up to deceive — for example configured to claim credentials or approvals the business does not hold.
Disabling an agent
An AnroAgents agent can be disabled from its detail screen, which stops it answering visitors immediately while keeping everything configured. Re-enabling is one press and nothing is lost in between.
An AnroAgents agent is also disabled automatically when the subscription behind it expires. That is the same mechanism: nothing is deleted, and paying reactivates the agent as it was.
