Common problems with an AnroAgents agent

The things that actually go wrong, and what to do about each.

The widget does not appear on the website

If the AnroAgents widget does not appear, check first that the snippet is on the page that is actually served — a snippet pasted into an unused theme template is the most common cause. View the page source in the browser and search for widget.anroagents.com.

If the AnroAgents snippet is in the source but no bubble appears, the usual causes are a caching plugin serving an older version of the page, a JavaScript optimiser that rewrote the script tag's data attributes, or a content-security policy on the site that blocks scripts from widget.anroagents.com.

If the AnroAgents widget stopped appearing after you regenerated the agent's API key, the snippet on the site still carries the old key. Copy the snippet again from the agent's detail screen and replace it.

The agent gives wrong or vague answers

An AnroAgents agent that answers vaguely is usually an agent that was told very little. Check that the business description is substantial, that services carry real descriptions rather than names alone, and that the FAQ contains the answers you want reproduced word for word.

An AnroAgents agent that quotes an old price is answering from an old document. Delete the outdated file from the knowledge base — uploading a newer version does not replace the previous one, and both will be searched.

An AnroAgents agent that refuses to answer something it should know is usually blocked by its own Restrictions. Read them back: a restriction written broadly, such as "never discuss prices", will stop far more than intended.

An AnroAgents agent that invents facts is missing the material for the real answer. The fix is a document in the knowledge base, not a stricter prompt.

The agent stopped replying to visitors

An AnroAgents agent stops replying when the monthly message allowance is exhausted on a plan without pay-as-you-go overage, when unpaid overage has blocked messaging, or when the subscription has expired. All three are shown on the Billing screen, and all three are announced by email before they take effect.

An AnroAgents agent also stops replying if it has been disabled on its detail screen, deliberately or by someone else in the workspace.

Emails are not being sent

An AnroAgents agent sends no email until a mailbox is connected under Settings and the plan includes email sending. Both conditions are checked before the agent will offer to send anything.

Follow-up emails in AnroAgents do not send when their conditions exclude the conversation — no email collected, a meeting already booked, or the lead not qualified when "only if qualified" is set. Check the follow-up conditions before concluding the feature is broken.

Meetings are not being booked

An AnroAgents agent books meetings only when Google Calendar is connected under Settings and the calendar is enabled on that specific agent. Connecting Gmail does not connect Calendar; they are separate authorisations.

A knowledge base file will not process

A file that fails to process in the AnroAgents knowledge base is usually a scanned PDF with no text layer, a password-protected document, or a file that would push the agent past its plan's character limit. Run scanned documents through OCR before uploading.

Getting help

Support for AnroAgents is reached by email from the dashboard, and the account owner can always write to the support address shown in the dashboard's Support link. Include the agent ID and, if the problem is with a conversation, roughly when it happened — conversations are stored and can be looked at.
